Learning by Example

We believe that the free and open exchange of information is essential for the enhancement of disabled people’s rights and lives. Around the world there are numerous examples of best practice and positive progress made by disabled people, their families, communities and supportive institutions. For more than 10 years we have translated information on education, disability rights, independent living and related themes from around the world to share with partners in China and East Asia. We have also curated English-language news about disability developments in the region. These can all be found on the China Vision Disability News Blog.

From our partners…

“ABB is the new name of China Vision. Since 2008, when the United Nation’s Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) came into force in China, China Vision has promoted the Convention, inspiring and encouraging disabled people to struggle to realise and protect their rights. China Vision organised workshops to help partners to understand the Convention and carried out research programmes with partners. I am proud to have worked with China Vision/ABB.”
